Before you reach for your card.
Do I need a diagnosis to use it?
No. Akai is designed starting from ADHD because that’s where ordinary planners break first, but the problem — too many things at once, a day that falls apart, a list that weighs on you — doesn’t ask anyone for a certificate.
Do I have to get organized before I start?
No, and that’s the difference. There’s no project to create, no list to pick, no date to set: you drop the thing in as it is, and Kai files it. If it gets it wrong, you change it with one tap.
What happens if I disappear for two weeks?
Nothing. There are no streaks to lose, no badges going dark, no notifications reminding you how far behind you are. When you come back, Kai has kept everything and starts again from one thing.
Does it really read my email and messages?
Only the sources you connect, one by one, and only to pull out the things to do. Every line in Akai says where it came from, so you can check instead of having to trust. You can disconnect sources whenever you want.
Is it on iPhone and Android?
Yes, and in the browser too: it’s the same app. What you drop in from your phone is on your computer a second later.
How is it different from a to-do list?
A to-do list shows you everything and leaves you the hard part, which is choosing. Akai does the opposite: it holds everything, shows you one, and when reality changes it rebuilds the plan for you.
