In one line

Akai processes only what you give it or connect to it yourself, uses it to build your day, and sells it to no one. Connected sources can be disconnected whenever you want, and the account can be deleted from the app without having to write to anyone.

Who processes the data

The data controller is Akaion S.r.l., based in Italy. For any request concerning your data you can write to privacy@akaion.com.

What data Akai processes

• Account. Email address and authentication identifier. They are used to sign you back in and to link your things to you.
• What you drop in. The text you write, the voice notes you dictate and the attachments you upload. This is the content of the service: without it, there is no service.
• The sources you connect. Calendar, email, messaging. Each source is connected one at a time, with your explicit consent, and can be disconnected from the settings.
• Use of the service. Minimal technical data to understand what breaks: pages opened, errors, device type.

Why it processes them

• To provide the service you requested — legal basis: the contract.
• To make Kai work: what you drop in is processed to extract the things to do, assign the icon and place them in your day.
• For security and abuse prevention — legal basis: legitimate interest.
• For product communications, only if you have agreed to them, with an unsubscribe option in every message.

Connected sources

When you connect a source, Akai asks for the minimum permission it needs and uses it only for that. Every line that originates from a source states where it came from, so you can verify it instead of having to take it on trust. Disconnecting a source stops the reading immediately; the things already extracted remain yours and you can delete them.

Where they are stored and for how long

The data is hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. It is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data is erased within thirty days, except for what a law requires us to retain for longer — in that case, only that data and only for the period required.

Who sees them

No data is sold or transferred to third parties for advertising purposes. We rely on providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions — hosting, email delivery, language models, error analysis — bound by contract. The up-to-date list is available on request.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw at any time any consent you have given. Account deletion is done from the app, without going through us. If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Minors

Akai is not intended for anyone under sixteen and does not knowingly collect their data.

If this page changes

Material changes are communicated in the app before they take effect, with the date of the last update always at the top of this page.
